The Ordinary Rosehip Seed Oil – The strong smell and thick texture turned me off to this product initially but since I had already purchased it, and because of it’s low price point, I decided to keep it. My goodness am I glad I did. When visiting my best friend, Alixe, two weekends ago in California, I noticed she had a bottle of the The Odinary’s rose hip seed oil as well. However, her bottle was well worn and half empty. I asked Alixe {someone whose opinion for beauty I respect highly} about the oil and she said it was the only item from the The Ordinary’s line that she used. I was intrigued. The item I had so quickly abandoned was one my best friend couldn’t live without. On top of that, her roommate also had a bottle of the stuff. As soon as I got back to Dallas I pulled the bottle out from the back of the cabinet and started using it. Whats amazing, though, is the repair this oil did on a scar I had on my stomach. I had heard somewhere in my research that rose hip seed oil was great for treating scarred skin. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I put the oil on my scar not expecting much. However, within days, my dark red scar had lightened and looked so much better! At under $10, and with all of its miracle magic abilities, it should be easy to see why this product is my #1 favorite new beauty product.
Kate Sommerville Dupuffing Eye Balm – Sometimes, even after a night of restful sleep, I can wake up with tired bags under my eyes. Dark cicles, puffiness, and fine lines are becoming a more and more common sight in the mirror as I age, and it’s nice to have a product that is easy to throw on. I love how this stick glides on and leaves a cooling feeling on the skin. Fragrance free and quite slick, the stick is easy to roll on beneath the eyes at any moment {I keep mine in my purse just in case I’m on the go and notice my eyes looking a little worse for the wear!} Under $40.
Diorshow Lash Primer – This product was introduced to me by Rebecca, my facialist at Joanna Czech! She has the most incredible long & luscious lashes and she said her secret was this primer. I brought it home and was hooked. Although the wand can be a little difficult {I might buy these to use instead} the overall effect is amazing. It nearly doubles the length of my lashes! I layer with one coat of jet black mascara and I’m out the door. Under $30.
Glossier Superbounce – This hyaluronic acid is milky in color and almost has a jelly like consistency {in a good way!} It’s fragrance is very light, and it absorbs beautifully into the skin. Hyaluronic acid is used to plump dehydrated skin and improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks, but so far so good! Under $30.
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Eye Gels – I love these eye gels. I brought them over to my in-laws a few weeks ago and made everyone at the dinner put a pair on – it was so fun to see everyone {including the guys!} embarace the cool jelly texture {I had kept them in the fridge!} and everyone agreed they felt refreshing. The gel is so much better than the sheet masks of yesteryear that I would even feel confident sleeping in these! Side note: I also have the PTR water drench moisturizer and have always loved it. At under $50 for 30 pairs, this pack feels like a steal.
