I’m often asked ideas for teacher gifts and my go-to is a personalized notepad, specifically this one and this one. How fun are they? I love both Joy Creative Shop and The Essential Market for all things personalized {they also have cups, napkins, etc.} I love they are customizable with just about any colorway you could imagine. I think they would be so cute sitting on top of a teacher’s desk {also so useful!} Not to mention, they come at a great price point at only $22 and $28 for 100 pages each. I recommend the 100 page option as I have purchased the 50 page option and it seemed a little skimpy. Other favorite teacher gift ideas: a Target or Amazon gift card, a candle {this one is so cute + affordable but this one is a tried & true favorite}, or even a set of these super cute city playing cards. Who doesn’t love a game night? Let me know if you have any favorite gifts to give in the comments! I’m somewhat new to the teacher-gifting-game so always down to hear what others love to give!
Baby Boy Name Ideas
I recently did a Q&A on Instagram and so many people asked if we had chosen a name for baby boy #2. Unfortunately, we haven’t {I wish!} but I asked for everyone to submit their favorites and wanted to share those submissions here. There are quite a few but I know this was super helpful for me, so I definitely wanted to share! Another great resource is the comment section on this blog post {thanks for sending, mom!} I found so many unique name ideas! Working on a highly requested girl name round up post next! Stay tuned 🙂

My Favorite Face Mask
I am frequently asked where I buy my masks and I LOVE these from Needle In A Haystack. They are cute, breathable, and so soft against your skin. They fit the face so well and I love that they have adjustable straps. I honestly forget I’m wearing it sometimes because it is so comfortable! I never have to adjust it and I can’t say the same of other masks I have worn. I usually opt for the darker colors {usually solid navy or black} to keep from showing stains but they have tons of other fun color ways as well. I also love that they come in kid sizes – I just bought Henning one for our flight home to New Orleans!
Memaw’s Thanksgiving Dressing
For as long as I can remember, my mom has made my grandmother Memaw’s dressing recipe every year for Thanksgiving. It’s so good because it’s so simple – there are no frills, or added surprises. It is just a classic dressing recipe I know you are sure to love.
When I asked my mom if I could share this recipe, she said “Please share the dressing recipe. Memaw would be so thrilled to have so many people use her recipe. A friend once told me that you never really die if people still cook with your recipes. It’s a wonderful way to remember our wonderful Memaw.” Mom, I couldn’t agree more!
Without further adieu, I have included the dressing recipe below. My only request is that, if you decide to print it out for your own cookbooks, that you keep it titled as is. So we can always honor and remember our precious Memaw who gave us this wonderful recipe!
INGREDIENTS:
2Â sticks butter
1 Â large onion, finely choppedÂ
4 Â stalks celery, finely choppedÂ
1Â small package Pepperidge Farm herb stuffing mix
1 recipe Jiffy corn bread mix, baked according to the directions and cut into small cubes
2 cans Campbell’s chicken with rice soup, undiluted
1 or 2 eggs, slightly beaten (number depends on size of eggs)
DIRECTIONS:
Melt the butter in a heavy bottomed pan or large skillet. Add the chopped onion and celery and cook until translucent and limp. Don’t brown. In a large bowl, mix the stuffing mix and the corn bread cubes with the soup. Add the eggs and the cooked onion and celery with the butter they were cooked in. Mix thoroughly, but don’t mash. Place dressing in a 9” X 13” pan and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Â
MOM NOTES:
If you like your dressing very moist, add more chicken broth or chicken and rice soup. If you like it very dry (crunchy), leave out some of the soup. Left over cooked, dry white rice can also be added, if you like more rice in the dressing. This recipe can be doubled or tripled. If I triple, I don’t use 6 eggs—usually about 4. I always make the cornbread ahead and I bake it until it is brown and a little dry. You can make it the day ahead if you want. If you add it hot and moist to the mix, it can make the dressing a little soggy.
Enjoy!
