Mom at the Beach

Hi! Alice here. Now that it is May, I feel like summer is here!  After school lets out in a few weeks, I’m looking forward to camp, swim lessons, family vacations to Lake Almanor (in Northern California), and my sister’s bachelorette party in Miami!!  All of this means I’ve been obsessively pinning new swimsuits.  Since my lovely babies haven’t been so kind to my body, I’m on the one piece track for now. Luckily for me, there are SO many amazing one pieces out there that it hardly feels like a sacrifice.

Right now I’m obsessed with this colorblock bathing suit (#5) – it is literally called “The Ballerina” – which makes it even better!  The ruffle on #2 is SO flattering – I saw a mom of four rocking a really similar bathing suit last summer and it was so pretty and feminine and incredibly flattering.  #1 and #6 both have incredible crossed straps with a super low back.  I actually just got #1 and find it so pretty on!  It comes in a bunch of colors (I got the navy).

I love cover ups – so easy and I love the way it feels when the wind blows through them.  I got #19 already with my eye toward Miami in a few months!  I think the low back cover up with the hot pink fringe (#21) might also need to come to Miami with me… maybe with that white suit (#4)?!

Finally, there are so many fun accessories – shoes, glasses, bags, huge beach towels, etc.  I got these glasses (#8) and I’ve had this other pair (#7) in my shopping cart for about 12 months.  SHOES! – I have #16 and #18, but I would love to add these amazing pom pom flats (#15) and tall metallic wedges (#17) to my collection.  My sister-in-law Annie has these incredible perforated leather slip ons (#14) that she swears by as well.  I think that the beach bag ties it all together –  a place to dump sunscreen, a book, hat, sunglasses, etc.  I really want one of these pom pom bags – particularly the hot pink one (#11)!
