Shirt: Blue shirt shop Flannel // Jeans: Florence skinny jeans in Drizzle
When I first heard about the brand DL1961, I had somehow got it into my head that the DL stood for Dina Lohan – and that the 1961 stood for the year she was born. Don’t ask me how or why I thought this the case, but I nonetheless proceeded to tell anyone who completed me on my jeans {I own & wear the white, black and true blue ‘Emma’ jeans all the time} that Dina Lohan started the brand. ?
Fast forward a few years, and I have since learned that Dina Lohan did not start the brand at all {shoutout to my girl Kaetlin for straightening that out for me} The brand was started in 2008 in New York City and has always stayed true to their number one goal: high tech fabric. Their jeans stretch, but don’t stretch out #itslikemagic
I’m still as in love with DL1961 as I always was, so I was super excited when they reached out to tell me about their new ‘Blue Shirt Shop.’ Typically known for their jean selection, DL1961 has recently launched a new collection of tops – think super soft chambray button downs and slightly distressed flannel – which are perfect for transitioning into fall. I couldn’t help but pick this one {i’m such a sucker for blue} and paired it with these jeans. Side note: I have one other pair of the ‘florence’ jeans {seen here} and I lovvvveeeeed how they fit. They’re stretchy, but not too ‘legging-ish’ and I love that they’re a little longer for my tall frame {I even get to cuff them when I want which is such a luxury for me! #tallgirlproblems} So, imagine my excitement when these grey babies came in. The style is just as perfect as my other pair, and I’m in love with the light grey color. I think Dina Lohan would approve 😉
