This past weekend I traveled to Riviera Maya, Mexico to celebrate my BFF and cousin’s bachelorette trip. Alixe and I have been inseparable since we were born and it was such an honor to be able to plan this trip to celebrate her and her upcoming wedding! We had the best time eating, drinking, laughing, boating, and celebrating our girl before her big day.

WHERE WE STAYED
The view from our pool in the back!
We flew in and out of the Cancun airport and spent Thursday through Sunday at Hacienda Magica in Puerta Aventuras. The house is about an hour away from the airport so we used AGI Tours as transportation, as recommended by Mimi the house manager. Our driver’s name was Javier and I have nothing but positive things to say about him and the whole experience! Our group had four people in the car one way and six people the other way and the price was around $250 round trip. However, other girls in our group rode in larger vans so they can accommodate larger parties if needed!
Hacienda Magica is amazing for so many reasons, but one of the main reasons I chose it for Alixe’s bachelorette was the ability to be flexible with booking rooms. Due to the large number of girls coming, I needed to a) find a house that could accommodate everyone and b) allow us to pay for only the rooms we needed. This saved us so much money in the end! I loved the flexibility of this because, as you can imagine, the number of girls coming changed daily up until the weekend started!
We decided it would be easiest and best to do every meal at the Hacienda because we were such a large group {can you imagine wrangling that many people while out and about in another country!? Nooo thank you!} I’m so glad we went this route – the service was incredible and so was the food. I also really loved how the staff moved the table every night so it always felt like we were eating in a different place. Mimi sent me a comprehensive menu list before the trip so we could choose what we wanted – I loved that there was always an assortment of fresh fish and salsas at every meal.
As for pricing, I believe it depends on the time of year but we paid about ~$35/per person per day for food and about $450 for lodging/per person for the weekend. The price of the hacienda comes with a full staff – a house manager, a chef, a sous chef, housekeepers, a bartender, and a helper for anything else we might need! We truly felt so spoiled all weekend, never having to lift a finger to do anything besides relax and enjoy our time in paradise.

THE WELCOME BAG
I love a goodie bag, so I was super excited to put together the ultimate bachelorette weekend survival kit for all the girls. I wanted to fill it with fun items they could use throughout the weekend like the Liquid IV, insect repellent wipes, and Advil packets! I also wanted them to have some take-home items to remember the weekend by like the Weezie makeup towels {I love and use these every day!} and the fun sunglasses that will be so cute all summer long. Last but not least, I also included a laminated itinerary so everyone would know what to expect for the weekend! This included which dinners were themed, what days we had activities, and important numbers to remember like the driver and the house manager {#s removed from the image below to protect privacy}
Custom “eeek” Weezie towel {eeek is a classic Alixe phrase} // Natrapel insect repellent wipes // Neutrogena makeup wipes // Zaca recovery chewables // Ring Pop sours // Sparkly hair ties // Liquid IV // Flower glasses // Advil // Lauer V-Line lifting mask // Reusable pink bag

GAMES WE PLAYED
Before the trip, we had one of the girls sit down with Alixe’s fiancé and ask him a series of questions to see “how well he knows Alixe.” We played the video in Mexico pausing after each question was asked {prior to her fiancé answering} to give Alixe the opportunity to guess what she thought he was going to say. Needless to say, there were tears of joy and some serious laughs – so much fun!
ACCESSORIES I BROUGHT
Colored bracelets // Gold beaded bracelets (similar) // Ring
SWAG
We had custom cups, napkins, and stickers made that said “fiesta de Alixe” from The Essential Market which turned out sooooo cute. I absolutely love working with them for anything custom! We put the stickers on these cups purchased from Target. I love anything personalized and was so happy with how everything turned out. We also used the cups all weekend long because the house didn’t come with any sort of proper ‘keep-drinks-cold’ cup so I’m especially glad we brought them!
“Drinking buddies” drink markers
We seriously had the best time. I think I can speak for all of us that we could celebrate Alixe every day!! If you have questions be sure to let me know in the comments below!
