Top: Mi Golondrina c/o // Jeans: Jean Atelier // Shoes: Manolo Blahnik {less expensive version here} // Sunglasses: Celine // Bracelet: Roxanne Assoulin // Bag: Lucy Folk Clutch
Have you ever seen a top as beautiful as this one? Mi Golondrina creates so many special pieces, but this one, with its intricate deshilado detail and v-shaped ruffle along the front and back make it so incredibly breathtaking. Deshilado means to pull out threads. The artisan women pull the cotton threads from the fabric and then use the threads to create a lace-like design. How special is it that this top was 100% handmade by artisan women in Aguascalientes, Mexico? I like the to think that by the time the Mi Golondrina pieces make it into your home, they have a history as rich and beautiful as the women who make them.
As I mentioned before, Mi Golondrina makes so many incredible pieces. Like this top for example which I know I would wear a million times this summer. Or this dress because stripes + deshilado make my heart go pitter patter {seriously, though….have you ever seen anything so beautiful?!} I’m so proud of everything Cristina and her team has done for the women of Mexico, and I’m so excited to share this wonderful Dallas based brand with you! Do you own any Mi Golondrina? If not, what is on your wishlist? And if so, which pieces do you have? Let me know in the comments!
