turtleneck: topshop colorblock cable knit sweater // jeans: dl1961 ’emma’ in riker // boots: marc fisher ‘yale’ chelsea boot (obsessed! also here)
I’m really not a turtleneck fan (the closest i’ll usually get is a ‘cowl’ neck) but when I saw this colorblock topshop sweater, I knew it was special, and that I had to have it. Paired with my favorite new chelsea boots – its the perfect, laid back, yet put-together look.
Speaking of these boots, I had been wanting to try this trend out for a while, but was a little wary. When i think of chelsea boots, I think of Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and other inevitably cool humans — something i felt far away from! But I saw these Marc Fisher boots they were just so above and beyond what I had seen elsewhere { that little gold toe detail!} so I knew I needed to give them a try. They are really comfortable, and go with so much. The first day I owned them, I wore them with this plaid dress and got so many compliments. If you’re wary like I am – give them a try! You won’t regret it.

Question about your colorblock topshop black and white turtleneck. What size did you get? I got a size 2 from Nordstrom and it swollows me up! It’s huge and looks much bigger than the one you are wearing.

I’m pretty sure I got a size 0 (xs)! I’m pretty tall though – If you are petite, maybe thats why?
